The Island Path Panama Rainforest Home

COMING...The Island Path Panama Rainforest Home...

We are changing Island Path Panama from an all inclusive resort into a self-catering vacation rental with ala carte' charter services for sight seeing, surfing and spear fishing.  We'll offer more flexibility and lower cost to our guests while ensuring the comfort and great service we are famous for is maintained.

Currently, we are renovating our cabanas and building a vacation rental home intended for surfers, world travelers and folks that want to spear fish.  The cabanas above, that we've had since 2009 are the starting point for the Island Path Panama Rainforest Home, featuring:

  • Full kitchen
  • Living room looking out over the rainforest
  • Dining room looking out over a tropical courth yard
  • Decks with hammocks
  • Two bedrooms with bathrooms, showers and A/C

In the jungle, but only five minutes from town!

Island Path Panama is located high in the hills with sweeping views of both the Caribbean and the jungle.  The Island Path Panama Rainforest Home is set on the edge of a breezy ravine, looking directly into the forest.  Because we are in the jungle, the animal and bird life we enjoy makes our place unique.  Yes, you'll see parrots and hear the Howler monkeys every morning and afternoon.  You'll feel "out there"... yet, you are only 1/2 mile from the ocean where we moor our boat, and town is a quick 5 minute drive.

No other accomodations in Bocas Del Toro offer the ease of getting to Bocas town coupled with the remote experience of the jungle as we do.

We are situated on a crest between a large valley that sweeps all the way to the north coast, and a deep ravine that plunges down into the rain forest and a tropical wetland.  There is always a breeze and the hill top is cooler than town.  When the surf is up, the wind carries the sound of the waves pounding the shore and reefs.  Island Path Panama been turned into a small banana plantation with strategically planted bamboo and tropical plants everywhere.

As you can see from the pictures below, Island Path Panama is in the midst of a primary rain forest (meaning it has never been cut) and the trees reach up into a high canopy.  Because we are at the top of the hill, you can look directly into this canopy, viewing the immense diversity of plant life that lives in the forest, as well as the parrots, birds and monkeys.  The following two pictures were recently taken by Kristi at Island Path Panama.
