In the jungle, but only five minutes from town!
The Island Path Panama cabanas are high in the hills with sweeping views of both the Caribbean and the jungle. The spacious rooms are set on the edge of a breezy ravine, looking directly into the forest. Because we are in the jungle, the animal and bird life we enjoy makes our place unique. Yes, you'll see parrots and hear the Howler monkeys every morning and afternoon. You'll feel "out there"... yet, you are only 1/2 mile from the ocean where we moor our boat, and town is a quick 5 minute drive.
Each cabana features two large double beds, A/C, private bathroom with hot showers and a large deck with hammocks for two overlooking the rainforest and the bananas. The cabanas are spacious, very clean and provide plenty of storage space for surfboards and luggage.
No other accomodations in Bocas Del Toro offer the ease of getting to Bocas town coupled with the remote experience of the jungle as we do.

We are situated on a crest between a large valley that sweeps all the way to the north coast, and a deep ravine that plunges down into the rain forest and a tropical wetland. There is always a breeze and the hill top is cooler than town. When the surf is up, the wind carries the sound of the waves pounding the shore and reefs. Island Path Panama been turned into a small banana plantation with strategically planted bamboo and tropical plants everywhere.
As you can see from the pictures below, Island Path Panama is in the midst of a primary rain forest (meaning it has never been cut) and the trees reach up into a high canopy. Because we are at the top of the hill, you can look directly into this canopy, viewing the immense diversity of plant life that lives in the forest, as well as the parrots, birds and monkeys. The following two pictures were recently taken by Kristi at Island Path Panama.
